
The Brigade Commander of the 31 field Artillery, Brigadier General Mohammed Umar Jibo has promised an enhanced welfare for Nigerian Soldiers in his Command as well as their Family.
Brigadier General Jibo gave the assurances recently in his opening speech during the Christmas children’s party organized by the 31 Artillery Brigade at the Artillery regiment parade ground, Minna, the Niger State capital.”
According to him, the Christmas party, which was the first of its kind, is aimed at supporting and uplifting the children of soldiers at the frontline across the country.”
“The fathers are not around to celebrate this festive season with their children, and we cannot afford to abandon them during this period,” the General declared.
Speaking further, General Jibo assured of his firm commitment to improving the living and working conditions of the soldiers and their families through enhanced welfare packages and sustainable support.
In a related development, the Niger State Commissioner for Homeland and Security, Barr. Maurice Mogaji who was the special guest at the event applauded Brigadier General Jibo for organising the Children Christmas Party .

He maintained that the event will go along way to boost the morale of officers assigned with the responsibilities of protecting the Nigeria Sovereignty.
The Honourable Commissioner however assured the Nigerian Army that the administration of Farmer Governor Mohammed Umar Bago will provide the necessary support required to boost the morale of officers at the frontline.

The highlights of the events was the distribution of school bags and other educational materials to prepare the children for school resumption.
