
The River State political crisis may die down following a late-night intervention by President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
According to the The Nation, the President knows was reported to have held talks with Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, and other key leaders from the state.
Although, the details of the meeting remain secret but Governor Fubara later accompanied Wike to his residence in Guzape, Abuja, after the meeting.
The report added that Fubara allegedly begged the minister, vowing never to show him disrespect again, signalling a potential reconciliation between the state’s powerful political figures.
