France 24 and other media outlets reported this on Tuesday, citing confirmation from judicial sources and the player’s legal team.
The case stems from a complaint filed on February 26, 2023, by a then-24-year-old woman who alleged she was raped at Hakimi’s home in Boulogne-Billancourt, near Paris, after the pair met via social media and she visited late on February 24.
Few days later, a formal indictment was issued against the former Inter Milan, Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid player.
Although, Prosecutors in Nanterre initially made an appeal in August 2025 that the case be sent to trial before a criminal court.
Tuesday’s confirmation marks the end of the investigative phase, with the investigating judge having decided to proceed to trial.
Responding, the PSG defender ( Achraf Hakimi), has continuous , maintained that the encounter was consensual.
He however in a statement posted Tuesday on X, expressed frustration with the process while reaffirming his innocence:
“This is as unjust to the innocent as it is to the genuine victims. I calmly await this trial, which will allow the truth to come out publicly,” Hakimi stated.
No trial date has been publicly announced.
