The former Deputy Chief of Staff and Commissioner for Finance under the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi administration , Abimbola Adekanmbi, has resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The former Commissioner ( Abimbola Adekanmbi) who once contested for a senatorial seat under the APC in the 2023 elections, announced his exit through a letter addressed to the chairman of the party in his Ward 1, Ibadan North East Local Government.
Copies of the letter were also sent to the APC chairmen of Ward 4 in Ona Ara Local Government and the Oyo State chapter in Ibadan.
In the letter, Adekanmbi stated that his resignation marked the end of a long period of service to the party since its inception.
He however expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve at different levels and appreciated members he had worked with over the years.
Adekanmbi, who is known for his close ties to Ajimobi’s administration, did not disclose his next political move or give specific reasons for leaving the party.
