NSUBEB CHAIRMAN FELICITATES WITH GOVERNOR BAGO, COMMENDS EFFORT TOWARDS SAFE RETURN OF ABDUCTED AGWARA STUDENTS 

The Executive Chairman of the Niger State Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB), Dr. Ibrahim A. Liman, on behalf of the Board, Management, staff, and pupils of Basic Education across Niger State, has expressed profound relief and heartfelt felicitation to the Farmer Governor, His Excellency Mohammed Umaru Bago, and all Nigerlites on the safe return of the 100 students kidnapped from St. Mary’s Catholic Primary and Secondary School, Papiri, in Agwara Local Government Area.

Dr. Liman noted that since the unfortunate incident occurred, the Governor has had sleepless nights, working tirelessly and coordinating tirelessly with security agencies to ensure the release of the abducted children. He described the Governor’s relentless commitment as a clear demonstration of his firm leadership and unwavering dedication to the security of lives and property in Niger State.

He further stated that while the return of the freed children is a source of immense relief, the moment remains sober, as some students are still in captivity. Dr. Liman stressed that this is a period for collective reflection and support, calling on Nigerlites to intensify prayers, unity, and cooperation with the government to ensure the immediate rescue of the remaining children and their safe reunion with their families.

Dr. Liman reaffirmed the Board’s confidence in the leadership of Governor Bago and assured the continued cooperation of NSUBEB in safeguarding the wellbeing of all schoolchildren across the state.
