NSCDC NIGER  COMMAND SECURES CONVICTION IN RITUAL MURDER CASE AND RESCUES HUMAN TRAFFICKING VICTIM

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Niger State Command, under the leadership of Comdt Suberu Siyaka Aniviye, has secured a landmark judgement in a ritual murder case and rescued a 16-year-old human trafficking victim.

In a significant victory for justice, the High Court of Justice of Niger State, Minna Judicial Division, convicted four defendants in suit  No:NSHC/MN/11c/2025  for crimes including criminal conspiracy, voluntary causing hurt by emasculation, and unlawful sexual intercourse with a child. The defendants were sentenced to imprisonment and community service for their heinous acts.

The case involved the attempted ritual murder of a young boy, whose genitals were mutilated, and a girl who was drugged and subjected to unlawful sexual intercourse.

The NSCDC’s investigation revealed that the defendants were part of a larger syndicate involved in human organ trafficking and exploitation.

In a separate development, the operatives of  NSCDC Niger State Command also rescued a 16-year-old girl  along Kabawa street, Tunga Low-cost, Minna. Preliminary investigations suggest possible exploitation, and the Commandant has assured that the matter will be thoroughly investigated.

The State Commandant, Comdt. Suberu Siyaka Aniviye, has commended the efforts of the legal unit and operatives involved in securing the conviction and rescuing the victim. He has also received the victim from the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) and assured them of the NSCDC’s commitment to combating human trafficking and exploitation.

The NSCDC Niger State Command urges citizens to report any suspicious activities and work together to build a safer and more secure community.
