NSCDC INTERCEPTS TRUCK AND VEHICLE LOADED WITH TELECOMMUNICATIONS MAST AND MINING SUBSTANCE

 

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Niger State Command, has successfully intercepted a truck fully loaded with telecommunications mast and a vehicle carrying mining products.

According to the state Commandant Suberu Siyaka Aniviye,the state Commandant NSCDC Niger state Command who spoke through the command’s public Relations officer DSC Abubakar Rabiu Muti that on September 24, 2025, at approximately 3:30 am, the command received intelligence information about a truck carrying telecommunications mast.

The NSCDC Anti-Vandal team was immediately deployed and arrested two suspects, a driver and a motorboy, along the Tafa-Suleja axis. The truck was seized and brought to the state headquarters for further investigation.

Similarly, on September 24, 2025, at about 3:00 am, the command received credible intelligence information about a vehicle carrying mining products.

The NSCDC Mining Marshall team was deployed and arrested seven suspects involved in illegal mining activities along Bida Road. Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects lacked proper mining documents, registration, and licenses.

The suspects will be fully prosecuted once investigations are completed, and they will be charged to court. The NSCDC Niger State Command is working closely with other security agencies to ensure a crime-free society and will continue to maintain 24-hour surveillance on critical national assets and infrastructure.
