The Commissioner for Works and Infrastructural Development, Hon. Kabir Abbas, on behalf of the management and staff of the Ministry, has extended warm Christmas and New Year greetings to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Niger State, Mohammed Umaru Bago, Nigerlites, and the Christian faithful across the state.
Hon. Kabir Abbas described the Christmas season as a period that symbolizes love, sacrifice, peace, and unity, calling on citizens to use the festive period to strengthen bonds of harmony, tolerance, and coexistence among people of different faiths and backgrounds.
The Commissioner expressed deep appreciation to Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to infrastructural development, noting that the Governor’s policies and support have continued to reposition the Ministry to deliver quality and impactful projects across Niger State.
He reaffirmed the Ministry’s total loyalty and support to the New Niger Agenda, assuring that the Ministry of Works and Infrastructural Development remains committed to implementing government policies through timely execution of road, bridge, and other critical infrastructure projects.
Hon. Kabir Abbas also commended the dedication, professionalism, and resilience of the staff of the Ministry, acknowledging their collective efforts in ensuring effective service delivery despite economic and logistical challenges.
In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, QS Hassan Baba Estu, also extended goodwill messages to the Governor, Nigerlites, and the Christian community, wishing them a peaceful and joyful Christmas celebration and a prosperous New Year in advance.
QS Hassan Baba Estu described the festive season as a time for reflection, gratitude, and renewed commitment to duty, urging staff of the Ministry to remain disciplined, united, and focused in supporting the leadership of the Commissioner and the vision of the Governor.
He further encouraged citizens of the state to continue to support government programmes, maintain peace during the festivities, and pray for sustained development, security, and prosperity in Niger State.
The Commissioner and the Permanent Secretary jointly prayed for God’s continued guidance, protection, and blessings upon Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, the people of Niger State, and Nigeria as a whole, while wishing all Christians and Nigerlites a happy Christmas and a successful New Year in advance.
