Chairman, Nigerian Civil Service Union, Niger State Council
Niger State Council of the Nigerian Civil Service Union has elected Comr. Sidi Umar Aliyu as the New Chairman.
In his acceptance speech , Comr. Aliyu appreciated the National Returning Officers for conducting a successful and hitch-free election. He also appreciate the veterans and leaders of the union, the organized labor (NLC/TUC Niger State), the security operatives, and members of the press for their contributions to the electoral process.
To all delegates who entrusted me with the leadership of the Nigerian Civil Service Union, Niger State Council, I, Comrade Sidi Umar Aliyu, am humbled by your confidence in me. I pledge to work tirelessly to meet your expectations.
Vision:
A robust, efficient, and welfare-oriented union that empowers its members to excel in their careers and contribute to national development.
Mission:
Training and Retraining: Provide regular capacity-building programs, workshops, and seminars to enhance members’ skills and knowledge.
Members’ Welfare: Advocate for improved working conditions, benefits, and entitlements, ensuring that members’ rights are protected and respected.
Promotion: Support and facilitate promotions, career progression, and job security for members.
Partnership with Organized Labor: Collaborate with organized labor in Niger State to address workers’ issues, promote industrial harmony, and drive socio-economic development.
Open Door Policy: Foster an inclusive, transparent, and responsive leadership, encouraging members to share concerns, suggestions, and ideas.
Action Plan:
– Establish a Welfare Committee to address members’ needs and concerns.
-Develop a Training and Retraining Program to enhance members’ skills.
-Set up a Promotion and Career Development Committee to support members’ career growth.
-Engage with organized labor and stakeholders to promote workers’ interests.
-Hold regular town hall meetings and feedback sessions to ensure members’ voices are heard.
The elected Chairman however thank the Civil Service Union for the confidence they had in him on before and after the election period and promise serving them with dedication and passion.
