No fewer than five persons were reportedly arrested by the Niger State Police Command for offences which includes thuggery, unlawful possession of dangerous weapons and drug possessions
The Niger State Police Public Relation Officer ( PPRO) , SP. Wasiu Abiodun who disclosed this in a statement issued recently said that the arrest was made during the raids of blackspots across Minna metropolis by the Police operatives attached to ‘A’ and ‘B’ Division.
According to the PPRO, those arrested includes Yunusa Yusuf and Mubarak Lawal of Angwan-Kaje with suspected cannabis while Aliyu Magaji of PZ Area was also arrested with a sword, a machete and scissors.
Others are Ibrahim Kabiru of Saiko, Abdullahi Yusuf of Gurara who was arrested with 20 wraps of suspected cannabis .
The Police PRO in his statement however assured all suspects who are under investigation will be charged to court for prosecution, while monitoring and raid operation continues.
