The Local Government Chairman of Jos North in Plateau State, John Christopher, has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party.
The resignation was disclosed In a letter dated December 30, 2025, and addressed to his Vanderpuye Ward Chairman, Dominic Dakat, Christopher said his resignation was with immediate effect.
The letter, which was made available to Newsmen in Jos on Tuesday night, read, “I write to formally notify you of my decision to resign from the Peoples Democratic Party with immediate effect.
“This decision is personal and has been carefully considered.”
The chairman expressed appreciation for the opportunity to have served under the PDP platform, saying, “I appreciate the opportunity to have served under the platform of the PDP and wish the party well on its future endeavours.”
The letter was, however, silent on the new party he may have Joined.
