HRH Francis Igwe, a father of former Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State ( Kelechi Igwes) was on Sunday morning abducted by Gunmen on his way to church in the community.
The traditional ruler of Ndufu-Alike community, Ikwo Local Government Area, Ebonyi State was reportedly driving when armed men riding a motorcycle intercepted his vehicle.
The sources further revealed that the hoodlums double-crossed him, forced him out of his car and whisked him away on their motorcycle to an undisclosed location.
The Council Chairman of the local government, Sunday Nwankwo however confirmed the incident.
Speaking further, he said the council was working with security agencies to assemble available information and facilitate his rescue.
