GOVERNOR  ABBA WARNS CABINET AGAINST INFORMATION LEAKS

The Kano State Executive Council members have been cautioned against leaking government information and engaging in internal rivalry, as  acts capable of undermining the administration will no longer be tolerated.

Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State gave this warning during the 38th Executive Council meeting held on Wednesday, where he urged cabinet members to remain loyal and committed to the objectives of his administration.

He maintained that his administration would no longer condone disunity or actions capable of creating mistrust within the council.

“The era of rancour, the era of disloyalty, the era of leaking information, the era of coming in between one another is over,” the Kano Governor declared

Governor Yusuf however harped on the need for members of the council to work collectively toward the development of the state and the welfare of residents.

Speaking further, he said that the recent political and administrative developments had influenced his decisions, along with other stakeholders, to align with the All Progressives Congress, describing the move as being in the best interest of Kano State.

“We need economic and infrastructural development within our state and the support and cooperation of the central government,” he added.

The Kano Governor confirmed that five commissioners resigned their positions following the political realignments, noting that their resignations had been accepted by the state government.

The governor further congratulated Umar Haruna Doguwa on his emergence as the APC chairman in Kano State after the party’s recent congress.
