
A Ghanaian Man identified as Benjamin Offei, living in Copenhagen, Denmark has reportedly committed suicide after discovering through DNA paternity testing that the four children he had raised for nearly 20 years were not biologically his.
According to reports which was amplified by Ghanaian media platforms, Offei had been in a long-term relationship with his Ghanaian wife for about 19 years, including nearly a decade of marriage.
“The marriage produced four children whom Offei reportedly raised as his own.”
Sources close to the family disclosed that Offei initiated the DNA tests, the results of which allegedly confirmed that none of the children were biologically linked to him.
The revelation is said to have caused severe emotional distress and he eventually committed suicide.
Though Danish authorities are said to be treating the case as a suicide, although no official police statement had been released as of the time of filing this report.
