BAGO ADMINISTRATION DEEPENS REFORM DRIVE THROUGH CAPACITY-BUILDING RETREAT, SAYS NIGER SSG

The Secretary to the Government of Niger State (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman, has described the Executive Retreat for Commissioners-Designate, Chairmen-Elect and their Deputies, Special Advisers and Permanent Secretaries as an important platform to strengthen collective responsibility, enhance collaboration and build a united leadership committed to delivering the New Niger Agenda.

The SSG in his welcome remarks emphasized that the retreat reflects the renewed dedication of the administration of Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, to reposition governance through strategic planning, synergy among Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and improved service delivery.

Alhaji Usman commended participants for responding to the call to serve, noting that their presence demonstrates deep commitment to the development of the State. He reiterated that “this is a crucial moment in our State’s history where governance demands fresh thinking, stronger teamwork and a clear focus on results.”

He charged the Chairmen-Elect to embrace the responsibility placed on them by their people, noting that grassroots progress depends heavily on their leadership. He further urged Commissioners, Permanent Secretaries and other senior officials to view themselves as the “engine room” for executing Government policies and translating vision into tangible outcomes.

According to him, the retreat provides a platform to align strategies, clarify expectations and deepen understanding of each official’s role in building a secure, productive and prosperous Niger State.

The SSG encouraged participants to be actively involved, strengthen partnerships, and recommit themselves to service anchored on integrity, accountability and compassion.

Alhaji Usman concluded by wishing all participants a productive and impactful retreat.
