Danjuma noted that Senator Bima took proactive steps to activate the operationalization of Baro port during the 9th Assembly, where he moved a motion tagged “urgent need to complete all the necessary components of Baro port” and facilitated a World Press conference during his visit to the port.
This move, he disclosed exposed the incomplete state of the multi-million-dollar Baro port project, which was commissioned by former President Muhammadu Buhari despite being unfinished.
Danjuma appreciated Senator Bima’s continued efforts towards realizing a functional Baro port, which many see as a game-changer for the Northern Nigeria economy.
He emphasized that Baro port is the pride of Northern Nigeria and the people of Niger State will not rest until it becomes operational.
Recall the Chairman of the Niger State traditional rulers, Etsu Nupe, Dr. Yahaya Abubakar, had also called on the Federal Government to revive Baro Inland port.
