The State Commandant of NSCDC Niger State Command, Comdt. Adamu Abdullahi Kambra fcai, fiifs, has officially commissioned the newly created Area “J” Office Command at Mokwa Local Government Area of Niger State. This development is a strategic response to the security challenges in Niger State and aligns with the Corps’ transformation agenda.
The creation of additional Area Commands and Divisional Offices is part of the Commandant General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi PhD, mni, OFR initiatives to reposition the NSCDC to effectively address insecurity nationwide. The Niger State Command, under Comdt. Kambra’s leadership, has identified the need for expanded presence to enhance security coverage and service delivery.
The Commandant who spoke through the Public Relations officer DSC Abubakar Rabiu Muti further explained that the Area “J” Command structure comprises:
– Mokwa Division “A”
– Mokwa Division “B” (Jebba)
– Edati Division
– Lavun Divisional Office
The State Commandant emphasized that the new office symbolizes the Corps’ commitment to protecting lives and property, promoting growth, innovation, and service delivery. It will enable the NSCDC to expand operations, enhance community engagement, and better serve the people of Mokwa and surrounding areas.
Comdt. Kambra expressed gratitude to stakeholders, including the host community, security agencies, Niger State Agency for Mass Education and partners, for their support. He acknowledged the presence of dignitaries, such as the Representative of Etsu Nupe, Ndalile of Mokwa, Ezonuwo of Kutigi, and representatives from Mokwa Local Government, youth associations, and trade unions.
The commissioning of Area “J” Office Command marks a significant milestone in the NSCDC’s efforts to enhance security and community engagement in Niger State.
The Command however looks forward to continued collaboration with stakeholders to achieve its mandate.
