We, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Niger State chapter, congratulate the Muslim Ummah across the State especially the Farmer Governor Rt. Hon. Mohammed Umaru Bago as you mark the successful completion of this year’s Ramadan fast and the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
While we congratulate you, we sue for sustained unity and peace that have existed across the state just as enshrined in the teachings of the Holy Quran and Hadith that is centred on peace, love, discipline, and humility.
As the Eid el-Fitr, signals the end of the holy month of Ramadan, we call on you all to prioritise peaceful co-existence with people of other religions so that together we can all live in peace and harmony.
We pray the Almighty God to grant the Governor and other leaders the grace to continue to serve humanity selflessly.
Let me also call on Nigerlites to use the end of the Ramadan and Lenten season which is still on to pray for the country’s continued peace, unity, and prosperity.
God bless and congratulations once again.
Signed:
Most Rev. Dr. Bulus Dauwa Yohanna,
Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Niger State
(Catholic Bishop of Kontagora Diocese)
