
His Royal Highness HRH, the Emir of Kagara, Malam Ahmed Garba Gunna, Attahiru II, has called on all stakeholders and indigenes of Kagara Emirate in Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State, to as a matter of concern come home and unite to build a better, safer and developed Kagara Emirate.
The Emir made the appeal when he received on a courtesy visit, members and leadership of Rafi Development Foundation RDF, at his Palace in Kagara on Sunday.
Mal. Ahmad Garba Gunna, admonished all and sundry to cultivate the habit of understanding and respecting the views of each other in order to forgive the shortcomings of all that offended one another at one time or the other, stating that ‘to err is human and to forgive is divine.’ He added that in every community, when citizens work together, they achieve their goals especially where there are developmental challenges, he argued that a tree can not make a forest, therefore implored stakeholders in the Emirate to come home and assist in piloting the affairs, as he can not do it alone.
The Emir lamented that the Emirate is lagging behind in terms of social and political developments, further appealing to all stakeholders, particularly residents outside to come home and contribute their quota towards the development of the Emirate.

Attahiru II expressed happiness over the founding of the Rafi Development Foundation and that he was optimistic that its activities will greatly assist to blossom the status of the Emirate in the eyes of every development partner locally, nationally and internationally which could also attract economic, social and political investments to the entire Emirate.
Ealier in his remarks, leader of the delegation, who is also the interim chairman of the Foundation, Mal. Ibrahim Ahmed Ushama, who is also the Sarkin Yakin Kagara, introduced and highlighted the Foundation’s aims and objectives stating that the Foundation has been registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission. One of the key and cardinal objective was to bring together sons and daughters of Kagara Emirate under one roof so as to achieve critical developments.
Sarkin Yaki stated that without understanding and cooperation, no meaningful development could be achieved especially in an atmosphere of rancor. He appreciated the Emir for his magnanimity in accepting the request of the Foundation to visit him and seek for his fatherly advice and role to further push the elites towards seeking for the development of the area.

He, however, seeks for royal blessing from the Royal Father, as the Emir’s palace is a home and destination for all the stakeholders, he affirmed that the Foundation is apolitical without any bias or selfish interest, therefore, are ready to accept and work with all politicians, political office holders irrespective of party affiliations.
Alh. Ibrahim Ahmed told the Emir that the Foundation is ‘for everybody and belongs to nobody’ where members will sacrifice and work for the betterment of Kagara Emirate.
Members of the Foundation took their turn to express their gratitude at the warm reception accorded to them by the Emir promising that they will work hard as citizens and stakeholders of the Emirate to see to the re-upbringing and development in partnership with the Emirate Council, State and the Federal Government as well as look for development partners from both national and international.
The Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Humanitarian and disaster management, Mal. Ibrahim Ahmed Inga, remarked that he is a member of the prestigious Rafi Development Foundation, stating that his first assignment was to appoint the Council Chairman, Usman Ayuba Katako, as the liaison chairman to maintain close collaboration with the Foundation.
He further explained that he attended the first meeting with the members in Minna, emphasizing the importance of coming together and affirming his commitment to being present.
“The Council Chairman is spiritually with us in attendance,” said the Honorable Commissioner.
Prominent at the visit and fraternization were the Commissioner for Humanitarian and disaster management, Mal. Ibrahim Ahmed Inga, Former Chief of Staff in the immediate past administration, Mal. Ibrahim Balarabe, Special Adviser on Diaspora to Kano State Governor, Mal. Danladi Umar Abdulhamid, who is also the Tambarin Kagara, Professor Abdullahi of the Federal University of Technology FUT, Minna among other important dignitries.
Highlights of the visit was a warm reception by the Emir and group photograph.
