The Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation Services, Engr. Farouk Umaru Audi, alongside the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Alh Akilu Musa Kuta, The Managing Director of the Niger State Water and Sewage Corporation(NISWASEC)Engr Gimba D Yisa, and other officials from the Ministry and NISWASEC, embarked on a familiarization tour to assess water facilities at Tagwai Dam.
During the visit, the Honourable Commissioner and his team inspected the water flow from the dam and examined how it is conveyed to the Chanchaga Water Works for further treatment before distribution.
The Managing Director of the Niger State Water and Sewage Corporation provided a detailed historical overview of Tagwai Dam, after which all relevant facilities were thoroughly assessed by the Honourable Commissioner and members of his team.
The tour was aimed at evaluating existing infrastructure and identifying ways to enhance efficient and sustainable water supply to the people of Niger State.
