AGWARA LG.  EXTENDS GRATITUDE TO NATIONAL LEADERS AND SECURITY AGENCIES FOR THE SAFE RELEASE OF 100 PUPILS OF SAINT MARY SCHOOL, PAPIRI

 

The Executive Chairman of Agwara Local Government Area, Hon. Illiyasu Zakari*, has issued a heartfelt press statement thanking the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency *Ahmed Bola Tinubu* (Jagaban Burgu), the Farmer Governor of Niger State, *Hon. Mohammed Umaru Bago* (Turakin Nupe), the National Security Adviser, *Mallam Nuhu Ribadu*, and all security operatives for their concerted efforts and prayers that led to the safe release of one hundred pupils from Saint Mercy School, Papiri, in Agwara Local Government.

In the statement, Hon. Zakari said, “We are profoundly grateful to President Tinubu, Governor Bago, the National Security Adviser, and the brave men and women of our security agencies for their unwavering commitment to the safety of our children. Their swift action and dedication have brought relief to countless families in our community.”

The Executive Chairman also appealed for continued prayers and support for the safe return of the remaining pupils and teachers who are still missing. “We remain hopeful that, with the same spirit of cooperation and vigilance, the remaining children and their teachers will be reunited with their families soon,” he added.

Hon. Zakari reaffirmed Agwara Local Government’s commitment to collaborating with federal and state authorities to ensure the security and well‑being of all residents, especially the most vulnerable.
