In compliance with the directive of His Excellency, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago, Governor of Niger State, all Scrap Metal Dealers and Scavengers operating within Niger State are hereby reminded that the ongoing registration exercise with the Office of the Secretary to the Government of Niger State (SSG) will end on 15th November, 2025.
It should be noted that the registration commenced on 22nd December, 2024 and has been ongoing for almost a year. No further extension will be granted and failure to comply within the stipulated deadline will be viewed seriously, with appropriate sanctions applied against any defaulters.
Furthermore, any scavenger found operating without the approved jacket and identity card will be arrested and prosecuted for violating this directive.
