The Niger State Police Command has arrested a suspect identified as Yahaya Dashu with a locally made pistol and one live cartridge in New Bussa of the State
The State Police Public Relation Officer , SP. Wasiu Abiodun disclosed this in a Statement recently in Minna the Niger State Capital.
The suspect according to SP Abiodun confessed that the pistol belonged to him and he bought for his personal protection from a blacksmith in Babana, Borgu Local Government Area of the State.
However, the suspect was later transferred to SCID Minna for further investigation and prosecution.
In a related department , Shuaibu Adamu a member of hunters group who shot one Adamu Saidu at Suleja junction with a locally made revolver gun was also arrested by the Police.
The Police operatives of the Suleja Division who rushed to the scene discovered that the victim was shot at the back and he was immediately rushed to general hospital Suleja for treatment, while Shuaibu was arrested with the gun.
