The Former governor of Kano state and the Presidential Candidate of New Nigeria Peoples Party ( NNPP) during the 2023 general election, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has confirmed that he recently had a meeting with Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde to discuss pressing National issues.
The 2023 NNPP Presidential Candidate who revealed this on his X account said that the meeting was held at Oyo State Government House Ibadan.
In his tweet he said “Today I paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, at the Government House in Ibadan. Our conversation focused on important priorities and pressing national issues”,
Although, political analyst are speculating that the meeting of the duo might be linked to the 2027 presidential election and Kwankwaso’s presidential ambition.
Is Kwankwaso plotting to contest the 2027 presidential election with governor Seyi Makinde as his running mate ? Time will tell.
It will be recalled that the NNPP chieftain had vaguely enjoined the opposition coalition party-African Democratic Congress (ADC) to give him the party’s presidential ticket for 2027 or make him its vice presidential candidate.
