NASARAWA COMMUNAL CLASH: 11 DEAD, 52 HOUSES BURNT

No fewer than  11 people have  reportedly been killed and  52 houses burnt following a reprisal attack by hoodlums in Akyawa and Udege Kasa communities in Nasarawa State.

The attack which happened on Friday, was believed to have been carried out by hoodlums suspected of carrying out a reprisal attack over the alleged killing of two of their kinsmen.

It will be recalled that a week ago, there was  a violent clash between vigilantes and suspected Fulani herdsmen in Aso Pada, which led to the death of at least five persons, while several houses and vehicles were destroyed.

Reacting to the attack, the Nasarawa State Commissioner of Police, CP Shetima Mohammed, expressed concern over the tragic incident.
